Yo love this. Her expression sells it too. Was this done traditionally and then finished digitally? Cos I love the 'paper, sketchy' texture of the piece and how rad the line art looks.

YOOO, this looks so FUKIN CLEAN!! Virtually adore everything bout this piece. Amazing job dude!! Massive props to the lighting, bold line art and colours. Also love the real nice soft brush shading you applied to all of em', really blends in pretty seamlessly and the background makes it all pop. Also love the way you drew their deranged facial expressions. [especially the way the eyes and mouth squash n' deform to really give it that 'punk-ass, Newgrounds edge'] Very on-brand with FNF's artstyle.

Goddang, also as someone else said before, this def woulda fooled me for actual official art by Phantom arcade so you def outdid yourself on reflecting his artstyle and givin it ur own spin.

Also do you use Procreate or another software for your digital art? I got myself an ipad and downloaded Procreate to get into digital stuff after spending all my life with good ol' pencil and paper so transitioning over has been quite the struggle. Either way, awesome piece man. Can't wait for more!

Thank you so much man, the fact that you pretty much summarized everything I was going for with the drawing is hella rad and it also means I did a good job lol

And I use clip studio paint for all my art with the occasional ms paint doodle. Btw I've also been drawing digitally for almost a year actually, before I used to be always on paper but last year in june I finally had enough money to buy myself a drawing tablet. Since then I've been trying out different styles and techniques to draw cause I was hella rough at first, but I got better and now I sorta have a sense of flow. Tho I still also draw on paper since it's what I've been doin all my life so ye lol

This looks fuckin rad. Link's one of my fav protagonists so seeing him portrayed with this cool-ass pose and especially the detailed rendering is always a treat.

Also just wanted to ask about your process/method for shading & line art cos I really love the way you approached it here. [eg. Hatching/cross-hatching, back n' forth strokes, varied line weight, etc]

Also did you take a picture of this beforehand or did you scan it first? Cos the image quality is great. Overall, real amazing stuff here man, can't wait to see more!

Thank you very much!! I’ve also adored Link since I was very little.

I used a lot of cross-hatching for this. I start shading/filling in by going in only one direction with a light hand. I then cross hatch the opposite way lightly to add deeper shading. I almost always go diagonal, I personally don’t like hatching parallel horizontally and vertically. For this specific drawing I used mainly pencil to shade, but used an ink pen to get really deep shadows like on the boots and deep creases in the tunic skirt (I was only using a mechanical pencil which is a light shade lol). And funny enough I used just my phone camera to take this pic, lol. I had to angle my desk lamp a certain way.

This drawing is 3 years old so my method of shading is a little bit different now, but it’s relatively similar to this :) lots of thin, light lines.
